What is the difference between fused glass and stained glass

There are many variations of glass casting, including lost wax and pate de verre. Cast glass objects are typically thick and dimensional. While ceramic kilns can be used, most kilnformed glass artists use kilns specifically built for glass.

Differences between ceramic and glass kilns include temperature ranges and heating element placement. I see some folks work in mosaics so my question is this….. I have been trying to add mosaic glass to my stained glass pieces. I have tried a few ways but does anyone know if it is better to add the mosaic pieces after you cut the piece or after you have soldered in place?
