Can you use sand in biorb

I would imagine so reviews are often wrong, I was told for my baby biorb to get 1 betta fish. I have successfully cared for 2 angel fish, a molly, a pleco and currently a tropical parrot fish. I would be very surprised if a biorb could not support a newt.

Depends what size and kind of fish. Depending on this I would say between They do not put there heads in the sand. The service kits are also sold at third party websites like Amazon and FishFriend. The biorb fish tank is made of glass or plexiglass like other fish tanks, except it has a ceramic filter inside so that when the fish uses the bathroom, it sucks it out quickly.

If you have enough sand you should just put sand in the bottom. It is like a bath for them and keeps them clean. You could probably use sand but you would have to have a hard surfaced area somewhere in the tank to put food on. If you put the food on the sand the sand will get on the food and in the snakes mouth. So put the food on the hard surfaced area. The depth of sand depends on where it is and how much of it you put there. I am not sure of the absolute mathematical sizing, but I can recommend my 4 gallon tank which I think is one of the more convenient sized ones.
