At Toll Brothers, we know that a community is made up of more than houses, and that it is only as strong as the people in it. When we build a new community, we believe in adding something vital to the area, something that measurably contributes to the lives within the community in a positive and dynamic way. We take our social responsibility to heart, and we believe in corporate community responsibility. That's why each member of our team takes an active role in giving back to the neighborhoods we build.

This commitment is given life through Toll Brothers' ongoing involvement in local community organizations. Although Toll Brothers focuses on the individuals within each of our communities, we are a national company—our communities are home to thousands of people in many regions of the country. With this in mind, we contribute to major regional and national organizations—such as the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, and others—among other corporate charities.

Toll Brothers does more than just build houses—we build communities. It's no secret that we break a lot of ground, but we're doing our part for breakthroughs, too—breakthroughs in cancer research, to be exact. For 15 years and counting, Toll Brothers has proudly supported the American Cancer Society ACS , a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization, in its mission to free the world from cancer through life-saving research. Every year, teams of Toll Brothers employees from divisions across the country work together to raise funds for the ACS, with the annual Toll Brothers Gala—a must-attend event held each May for over guests—serving as the partnership's signature fundraising event.

The need for life-saving cancer research continues, and so does our devotion to the cause, as we aim for new heights in our fundraising efforts, year after year. Since , Toll Brothers employees, associates, friends, and family ready Camp Seeds of Peace for the summer season.

Located 40 miles northwest of Portland, Maine, the camp is devoted to inspiring peace and harmony in young people from conflict-ridden areas and ending the cycle of violence.

Each year the camp hosts hundreds of teenagers identified as the best and brightest from several countries. Led by professional facilitators, the teens live side by side for two-week sport and activity sessions specifically designed to teach conflict resolution skills.

So far, more than 2, teens representing 22 countries have attended the summer camp, and gone on to work with the organization's Center for Coexistence in Jerusalem and other areas, building bonds and extending friendship. It is hopeful and truly inspirational. Each year, hundreds of Toll Brothers participants join forces to whip the Seeds of Peace campgrounds into shape and renovate the various buildings and structures.

Many Toll Brothers employees and their families have made this altruistic venture an annual event—some coming from Toll Brothers locations as far away as New Jersey to participate.
